Speedgain Module - Information Warehouse
The latest optional enhancement of ITGAIN’s performance management suite Speedgain for DB2 is called the Speedgain Information Warehouse. It enables the user to achieve information and insight into hidden or slowly developing problems. Through its features one automatically receives a snapshot of ‘the health’ of a database system.
The parameterizable reports provide a basis for trending and monitoring of response times in a SLA context as well as the presentation of resource utilization for accounting of database services.
The quantity of reports can be expanded optionally while the predefined reports cover topics such as:
- Top N SQL extraction
- Detect worst performing tablespaces and bufferpools
- Extract index usage information to identify unused indexes
- View applications with the highest values of DB2-In-Times
- List the updated instance and database parameters
The Information Warehouse guides the user in four easy steps from a given question to a report with tables and diagrams without lengthy training. It supports:
- Enhanced performance analysis
- Visualization and analysis of performance metrics in user defined timeframes
- Detection of most critical applications and SQL statements
- Analysis of progression
- Growing report basis
- Exportable reports for further analysis and formatting, e.g. to MS Excel
